UNG D2L – First time registration
In order to activate your UNG Network ID, you must first change the default password from the one provided by Information Technology. To assist you with this process,
Activate My Account / Find My Username
- To activate your account, start by finding your username.
- Please enter your SSN or UNG ID
- And, select your date of birth
- Hit “Submit”
Note – After 3 consecutive terms of non-enrollment, UNG student accounts are disabled. It is critical to forward any important emails to a personal email account before UNG accounts are disabled. All UNG services including Office 365 are accessible before accounts are deactivated.

UNG D2L – Log in
Step 1. Go to Ung D2l Login page via official link below.
Step 2. Login using your username and password. Login screen appears upon successful login.
UNG D2L – Forgot Password
If you forgot your UNG password, click on the “Change/Forgot Password” link below the page and follow the steps to reset your password.
Password Management Options
Change/Expired Password
If you know your password has expired, or you would like to change your password, use this option. You will need your current password to be able to use this option.
Enroll in Password Management
Enrolling in password management allows you to access a 24/7 self-service password reset. By answering a customized set of questions, you can reset your password from this site at any time or location.
Enrollment in password management is a quick and easy process. Simply choose three “security” questions and provide your answers. Once your security questions have been setup, you will be able access the password management tool to reset your password without assistance from IT.

Ung D2L – Email
UNG email is an official means of communication on the University of North Georgia campus. UNG has partnered with Microsoft to bring you email and the rest of the O365 suite. The O365 suite offers web applications for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Access. You have personal storage of 1 TB via your OneDrive account.
Ung D2L App
When configured with a smartphone or tablet, the Duo mobile app can create bypass codes even without a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Bypass codes created through the Mobile App are non-expiring and single use.
To create a bypass code:
- Open the Duo Mobile app
- Tap the UNG account
- The bypass code is presented.

How do I use eLearning@UNG (D2L)?
DETI’s Online Student Success team has created an eLearning (D2L) Tutorial. You can self-enroll in the tutorial within eLearning@UNG (D2L). The link for self-enrollment is located on the right hand side of your eLearning@UNG (D2L) homepage. You can also find tutorial videos and more D2L resources on the eLearning@UNG (D2L) homepage. How do I find my course within eLearning@UNG (D2L)?
All of your courses are listed within “My Courses”. If your course is not “pinned” on the homepage, click on the “view all courses” link. Once you find your course, you can “pin” it and access it directly from the homepage. Detailed instructions can be found within the “Finding and Pinning a Course” resource on the right-hand side of your eLearning@UNG (D2L) homepage.
