LLcc canvas – Canvas is LLCC’s Learning Management System, or LMS. It is used by learning institutions, educators, and students to access and manage online course learning materials and communications with your instructor. At LLCC, every course has access to Canvas. LLCC Email – Activate Account
The account activation process is the same for students, faculty, and staff. Please follow the interactive tutorial and/or step-by-step instructions below to activate your account.
What You Need
- Your Email Address
- Student Format: username@llcc.edu (provided on your Admissions Welcome information and/or Class Schedule and is all lowercase)
- Employee Format: FirstName.LastName@llcc.edu
- Unique Password
- The password follows the below format.
- FIRST INITIAL OF FIRST NAME (upper case) + first initial of last name (lower case) + last 4 digits of Social Security Number or 0000 for international students + birth month + birth date
- The birth month and date must be in two-digit format. (Ex. 01, 02, 10, 11)
- Ex: Ju11110903 = Joe User > XXX-XX-1111 September 03
Step-by-step Instructions

- The password follows the below format.

- You will be immediately prompted to change to a new secure password. Your password must consist of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 characters, and must have three out of four of the following:
- Lowercase characters.
- Uppercase characters.
- Numbers (0-9).
- Special Characters.
Errors During Account Activation
- Please verify that you have entered your Username and your unique password correctly.
- If you have entered the information correctly and cannot log in with your unique password and:
- are a student, please contact Admissions and Registration at 217.786.2292 to verify your personal information and request changes.
- are an employee, please contact Human Resources at 217.786.2752 to verify your personal information and make any corrections.
- Please check your third-party Email address for notification of when you can attempt to activate your account again by following the Step-by-Step Instructions.
- For any other errors, please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance at 217.786.2555 or helpme@llcc.edu. Do not send your Unique Password to us via email!
LLCC canvas Login
To access the Canvas Training Services Portal:
- Login to your LLCC Canvas account.
- Select the Help link at the bottom of the navigation menu.
- Select Canvas Training Services Portal and follow the Prompts.
- Once in the Canvas Training Services Portal, select Learning Library. The Canvas Learning Library is divided into four categories: learning pathways, courses, on-demand videos and live trainings. LLCC faculty and staff can enroll and participate in as many sessions as they would like.
Reset Password – LLCC Canvas
The password reset process is the same for students, faculty, and staff. A video of the password reset process is available on YouTube.
- Open your web browser and navigate to Opens in new window My LLCC .
- Select Email under Student or Faculty/Staff Resources, or click Opens in new window here .
- Enter your Email Address and click Next.
- Click on Forgot my password.
- Enter the characters in the picture in the box for verification and click Next.
- The two chosen methods of contact set up in the Authentication Verification process will appear.
- You must have access to the phone and/or third-party email account to continue.
- Complete both Verification Step 1 and Verification Step 2.
- You will be prompted to immediately change your password to a new secure password.
- A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 characters, and must have three out of four of the following:
- Lowercase characters.
- Uppercase characters.
- Numbers (0-9).
