- Enter your user ID and password.
- New applicants should enter the email address and temporary password that you received from the University.

- you have to provide any two following details
- First Name and Last name
- CSUN ID Number
- CSUN Email address
- Month and Day of Birth

Csun Canvas Insights
Canvas Insights is a new Canvas tool custom built by CSUN allowing faculty to easily communicate with individual students in their classes based on an early alert. Alerts are important because they let you provide positive feedback to students who are doing well, and encouragement and support to students who need assistance. Faculty can access Canvas Insights using the link in the Navigation menu.

CSUN Zoom
Zoom, CSUN’s video and web conferencing tool, is available to all students, faculty, and staff. Zoom allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between up to 300 participants. It can be used from any computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, and it works on PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices. Any CSUN user can initiate a video or audio meeting, allowing Zoom to be used for any online meeting, whether between two or many people.

Anyone in the world can join a CSUN Zoom meeting, but only a host or lecturer can start/schedule meetings.
To access CSUN zoom, go to csun.zoom.us. Use your CSUN ID and password to sign in to your host account.
Scheduled Zoom classes are the equivalent of a regular university classroom session. Faculty may require students to attend class (Zoom) sessions, and may give (or withhold) participation credit if participation is listed as a course requirement in the syllabus. If participation is not listed as a course requirement, students are still strongly urged to attend because critical course information may be covered in class.
What are the key features of Canvas?
Canvas has all the features of a modern learning management system including the ability to accept and grade assignments, conduct discussions in forums, administer quizzes and exams, store and organize course resources, communicate with students, etc. Canvas has multiple grading tools including rubrics, audio/video feedback and a dedicated grading app. Students can access course materials, view course calendars, to do lists and set their own preferences to receive notifications on their mobile devices.
Is there a mobile app for Canvas that we can use?
Yes, there are a variety mobile apps that can be used with Canvas, but the two primary ones are the Canvas Student app and the Canvas Teacher app for instructors. These apps are available on Android devices and on iPhones and iPads running iOS 10 or newer. After downloading the app, enter CSUN’s Canvas URL to access the mobile app. The URL is canvas.csun.edu.
